The camp fee for those who choose to stay on campus is $300. Commuters have the option of a meal card for an additional $50.“Summer Spotlight Camp is a great way for Troy University to serve the community through an arts education program,” Meadows said. “It is a part of our theater education program and it allows theater majors to get hands-on experience in working with young students.”Meadows said the camps give Spotlighters a choice in sessions, including musical theater, costume design, creative movement and stage performance. A technical theater class is a new addition to Summer Spotlight Camp this year. We have students coming from all over the Southeast and some of our incoming freshmen will also be attending.”Summer Spotlight Camp will be directed by Tori Lee Averett with Grace Collins, a recent Troy University theater graduate, as the creative drama leader. Quinton Cockrell, Troy University resident acting professional, and Roy Hudson, the state secondary teacher of the year in theater education, will also be on the camp staff.
