first_imgThe Department of Medicine of the University Of Maryland School ofMedicine and the Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum ComprehensiveCancer Center (UMGCCC), located in Baltimore, MD, are recruiting afull-time faculty member, with a focus on benign and malignanthematology.The essential functions of the position include outpatientconsultations and longitudinal patient care, inpatient consultationand teaching service, teaching and mentoring of Hematology/Oncologyfellows, residents and medical students in inpatient and outpatientsettings, and clinical and/or translational research.Therapeutic clinical trials and translational research aresupported by the UMGCCC Clinical Research Office and by UMGCCCShared Services in our Center for Innovative Biomedical Resources(CIBR). Interaction with basic and translational scientists isstrongly encouraged and supported.Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor or higher, however,rank, tenure status and salary will be dependent upon selectedcandidate’s qualifications and experience.Qualifications :The candidate must be board-certified or board-eligible inHematology and eligible for a medical license in Maryland.Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and havedemonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care, educationand research.Furthermore, the successful applicant will have fellowship trainingand experience in benign hematology, coagulation and hematologicmalignancies.
